1 Medieval Villages Loop (50 km)
Itenary : LALINDE –CHATEAU DE LANQUAIS – ISSIGEAC – MONSAC – LALINDE
Issigeac – this ancient village has been the site of a Gallo Roman settlement, a Merovingian necropolis and a 6th century monastery.
Monsac – this small stone village has vestiges of habitation from the Paleolithic era, Roman and Gaul periods.
Itenary : LALINDE – SAINTE-ALVERE – SAINT-MARCEL-DU-PERIGORD – PRESSIGNAC-VICQ – LALINDE
This ride is through the culinary heartland of the Perigord : forests of wild mushrooms, truffles & game, walnut groves, strawberry fields, fruit farms, duck & goose farms to Ste.Alvère – the authentic truffle centre of the Dordogne. Lunch options in the village.
3 Bastide Loop (45 km)
Itenary : LALINDE – MOLIERES – SAINT-AVIS-SENIEUR – CADOUIN – TREMOLAT – LALINDE
Molières – the unfinished English bastide.
St Avit Sénieur – timeless village with a massive fortified church – origins 11th century.
Cadouin – this charming village grew around a 12th century Cistercian abbey; the cloisters feature three different architectural periods.
Trémolat – with its 12th century Romanesque church, lunch in a café or restaurant.
4 Vineyard Loop (60 km)
Itinerary : Loop ride through the vineyards of the Bergerac wine region to Chateau de Monbazillac
– built in 1550 in an architectural style both defensive and renaissance, the castle fell into disrepair until it was purchased in the 1960s by a group of local vintners who restored it to its former glory. The cellars contain a wine museum.
Bergerac is a wine region located in the Dordogne department of South-West France. Wines have been produced here since at least Roman times. Our bike tour takes you on a breathtaking cycle through the hills of Bergerac passing vineyards, wine chateau’s and honey coloured stone villages. Taking in the sights, smells and sounds before sitting down to a full lunch at a quaint family owned restaurant which nestles amongst the Bergerac hills.

All the equipment, maps, information on routes and points of interest are included in the bike rental fee.

Price: depending on mumber of nights and number of bikes for the tour.
Upon delivery, there will be time for bike fitting, orientation, going over routes and points of interest on marked maps, and practical info.
